Day 1

Depart Sydney for Japan (Morning)


  • Arrive at Kansai International Airport (Night)
  • Check-in hotel in Higashi Kishiwada, Osaka

Day 2 - 5


Osaka

4/Oct (Fri) ​- 7/Oct ​(Mon)

  • Watching the Danjiri Festival & enjoy street food and ​entertainment
  • Exchange at local English school and make friends
  • Be hosted by a Japanese family at a home visit
  • Local school visit and find out how Japanese high school life ​is like
  • Experience Japanese traditional cultural activities such as ​Shodo, cooking Japanese food & making traditional sweets
  • Try Japanese kimono or hakama on

Kyoto

8/Oct ​(Tue)

  • Check-out hotel in Osaka and head to Kyoto, check-in
  • Sightseeing such as Fushimi Inari, Nishiki Markets, ​Kiyomizu-dera temple.. etc.
  • Visit and have fun at Samurai & Ninja Museum with ​experience

Day 7 - 10


Tokyo

9/Oct ​(Wed) - ​12/Oct ​(Sat)

  • Check-out Kyoto and head to Tokyo
  • Shinkansen(bullet train) ride, check in hotel in Tokyo
  • Sightseeing such as Skytree, Sensoji temple, Nakamise ​Street, Harajuku, Shibuya, Tsukiji Fish Market, Teamlab ​Planets, water bus(if weather permitted)
  • Cultural experience – learn traditional dye technic on a tote ​bag to take home
  • Waseda University campus tour – have lunch at cafeteria
  • Check out hotel and head to Tokyo International Airport
  • Depart Tokyo for Sydney

  • Join the tour in Japan (land only): $3399

  • Twin-share hotel accommodation with daily breakfast for 9 nights

  • English-speaking experienced local carers in Osaka

Participants are required to arrange and e-sim for the entire duration of the tour. This allows AST ​chaperone to maintain contact and locate participants at all times, ensuring everyone’s safety.


Participants should be supplied with personal spending money for items of expenditure not ​otherwise met by the tour cost. This money allows for purchase of lunch, dinner, snacks, drinks, ​and other unforeseen costs.


Q & A:


  • Who will accompany my child? : Students will be accompanied by a lady who grew up in ​Japan and have lived in Sydney last 20+ years. She speaks both Japanese and English and also a ​mother of 2 teenage children. You will be able to meet with her on a video call/in person prior ​to booking, if it helps for you to make a decision. (Please email us at arrangement@a-​studytours.com to arrange a meeting.)


  • Do I have to organise travel insurance? : Participants are required to organise their own ​travel insurance.


  • When do I have to pay in full?
    • Applicants must submit a non-refundable deposit of $2,000 AUD by Sunday 11th August ​2024
    • Remaining balance of $2,899 AUD is due by Tuesday 3rd September 2024.


  • Where will my child be staying? : In Osaka, the group will be staying at Hotel Route-inn ​Higashi-Kishiwada for 5 nights where they’ll have extensive experience including visiting local ​schools and a traditional festival around the castle. One night In Kyoto will be at Via Inn Prime ​Kyoto-eki Hachijo-guchi, and 3 nights in Tokyo will be at APA Hotel and Resort Ryogoku-eki ​tower.
  • How much would a meal cost for lunch and dinner? : It would typically cost anywhere from ​$5 AUD - $15 AUD unless your child decides to pick a high end meal.
